Earlier today, WHMCS launched the newest version of their leading billing and client management software, WHMCS Version 4.3.1. Some upgrades and new features include the following:

New Features & Enhancements

New Ajax Order Form – fully customisable, open-source, ajax based order process with live order summary

Per Billing Cycle Invoice Settings – Now you can specify for different billing cycles to generate at different times, for example your monthly items could generate 14 days in advance while annual items could generate 30 days in advance

Twitter Integration – a client side integration with twitter to display the latest tweets from your company twitter account along with a follow icon pointing to your twitter page

Product Addons – Weighting ability to customise display order of addons, added the ability to easily transfer an addon from one of the clients products to another, and improved adding process to make pricing retrieval more intuitive

Admin Order Review – Optimised display to show clients full name/address to aid manual fraud checking, added the ability to manually re-test an order with MaxMind after editing clients details, and optimised loading time by converting Affiliate Assign to Ajax load on request only

Admin Add Order Process – Expanded to support product addons & quantities of a product being ordered

Client Area Search & Sorting – the My Products/Services & My Domains lists in the client area have had the ability to sort by any column and users to search for a specific domain they own added

Suspension Reasons – now when performing a manual suspend you can specify a reason for that suspension to be displayed in the admin area, client area, and suspension notification email – automated suspensions default to non-payment

Live Ticket Status Updates – WHMCS will now monitor in the background and notify you if any other admins have started replying to a ticket if you start replying, and also on submission if the status has changed since you opened it to indicate another admin has already dealt with it

Expanded Downloads Features – Added the ability for downloads to be associated to addons so that addons can provide access to additional downloads automatically when purchased like with products

Promotions Recurring Limits – Coupons can now be set to recur for a set number of cycles, allowing offers such as “Get your first 3 months at half price” for example

Customisable Admin Email Templates – You can now customise the New Order, Support Ticket Response, Automatic Setup Failure, Domain Renewal Failure and Service Unsuspension admin email notifications like existing email templates

Client Default Payment Method – the admin profile page now allows an admin user to change the payment method of all a clients products, services & open invoices in one quick action

Config Options Monthly Breakdown – updated the order process product configuration step to also apply monthly breakdown pricing to configurable options if enabled

Checkout Credit Card Payment – if a credit card based payment gateway is chosen during checkout, in a more streamlined process the client is now asked to enter their card details as part of checkout rather than following checkout being completed

Multiple Free Subdomain Choices – ability to specific more than 1 subdomain a client can choose from as an alternative to domain registration at Products Signup

Read-only/Locked Client Profile Fields – ability to choose which fields from the main profile name, email, address fields are editable

Affiliate Withdrawal Enhancements – can now automatically create a transaction out or credit entry for the client direct from the admin affiliate withdrawal screen

cPanel Reseller Upgrades – Added support for automated reseller disk/bandwidth package upgrades

Release Domain Support – added support for registrar modules to contain a release function to automate transfer out of domains so Nominet module supports IPSTAG changes from within WHMCS – can be admin only or clients can also be given access to perform it

Since we first entered the VPS market, much has changed! We are finding that as Virtual Private Servers are becoming more popular, our client’s needs and requirements for these servers are changing. In an attempt to both stay competitive with the market and to ensure that we are meeting our clients needs, we have made several changes to our VPS plans.

1) Unmanaged VPS Plans- We are proud to announce that we have now launched unmanaged VPS plans to our product mix. Although we pride ourselves in offering high end Virtuozzo VPS plans with extremelly reliable server management, we find that not all customers need us to manage our VPS plans for them. As a result, we have launched this new line of plans for both developers and advanced users who are not looking to pay a premium price for server management. Starting at only $29.99/mo, users can purchase one of our unmanaged VPS plans that come with the Virtuozzo Power Panel as well as the other features offered on our fully managed VPS plans.

2) Unmetered Bandwidth- We are now offering unmetered premium bandwidth on all of our Virtual Private Servers. Clients will no longer need to worry about bandwidth limitations on their VPS plans!

XeHost Acquires Juna Web

We are very pleased to announce that after much negotation and planning, we have acquired Juna Web! The following e-mail was sent out to all Juna Web clients just a few moments ago:

 Greetings! 

My name is Sean Frank and I am the Chief Executive Officer of XeHost. After much negotiation and planning, we are proud to announce that we have officially acquired Juna Web. On behalf of the entire XeHost team, we would like to welcome you! We have been providing quality hosting services since 1999 – our reputation for stellar support and uptime speaks for itself. I have every confidence that you will find your stay at XeHost to be very rewarding. We currently have an industry-leading 15-minute average response time guarantee on all support tickets. From this point forward, we request that you submit all support inquiries directly to us (over the next few days the Juna Web website will point to our domain). To do so, simply go to http://clients.xehost.net and click “Client Area” to login (login information is below). Once logged in, click the “Submit Support Ticket” link to submit a ticket to our support department. I’m sure you are concerned that things will change or that you will need to update your hosting settings. Rest assured, we will make the move to our servers as quickly and painless as possible. In fact, we have already went ahead and migrated all of the Juna Web accounts to our network. If you are on the public Juna Web nameservers (ns1.junaweb.com, ns2.junaweb.com, ns3.junaweb.com, or ns4.junaweb.com), no change is need on your end – the nameservers are already pointing to our servers. If you are on different nameservers, you will either need to switch to our anonymous nameservers (ns1.xdns2.net and ns2.xdns2.net), or you will need to contact us to get your nameservers fixed. Please note that the old server will be shut down this Saturday so if you are not pointing to our servers by then, you will experience downtime.

All clients should be advised that although we did our best to mimic the server configurations of the old Juna Web servers, we needed to change some settings for security reasons. In the event that you notice any errors on your website, please contact our support team immediately so that we can get them resolved for you as quickly as possible. In moving to our network, you will experience a number of different upgrades. Please note that in hosting with us, you will now have the ability to setup automatic billing so that you do not need to worry about manually paying your invoice each month. Also, we are a certified domain name reseller and can handle all of your domain name needs. Clients that register domain names from us can control them directly in the client panel! 

****IMPORTANT**** You will no longer need to access your Client Area through Juna Web. All of your Billing and Support needs will be handled through http://clients.xehost.net – our official Client Area. Your login credentials are exactly the same as they were in the old Juna Web client portal. In the event that this password does not work for you, simply use the “Forgot Password” link below. Please feel free to change this password once logged in.

By the time you received this e-mail, your PayPal subscription to Juna Web will have been cancelled by someone from the Juna Web billing department (if paypal was your payment method). This means that you will need to manually pay your first invoice with us. When you pay this invoice, if you choose to use PayPal as your payment method, you can create a new subscription so that you have automated billing once again. Alternatively, we also accept Credit Card and Check/Money Order payments. We are very pleased to announce that we have just acquired Hasty Host. By now, all Hasty Host clients have been notified of this acquisition and have already been moved into our billing systems. We expect to have all Hasty host clients moved to our datacenter by the end of next week.

Server Upgrades – tiger.xdns1.net

dedicated-server-img This evening at about 11:30 PM EST, tiger.xdns1.net will be taken down for approximately 5 minutes as we load a backup 250GB harddrive as well as an extra 4GB RAM.

These upgrades are mainly being performed in response to the hundreds of websites recently transfered over as a result of the Proto-Host acquisition. We hope that these upgrades will further help to improve our service for both Proto-Host and XeHost customers alike!
